I am directed to inform you that nine months' leave of absence on full pay has been granted to the following officers of the Police Force :-
Inspector Robert McDonald
Inspector Edward Browne
Crown Sergeant Robert Lanigan
Crown Sergeant Edward Sidney Bond
Lance Sergeant Robert Horace Ethelbert Marks Lance Sergeant Christopher Patrick Fallon.
and leave of absence without salary to Police Constable Charles Farrington for such period as he may require to settle some urgent private affairs, but in any case he should re-embark for Hong Kong at the expiration of three months after arriving in England.

2. These officers with four others are travelling home by the 8.8. "Antilochus in charge of repatriated Czecho-Slovak troops from Siberia and will be considered on duty for the period of the voyage until these troops are disembarked at Ragusa (Adriatic) or elsewhere. Their leave will commence from that date and the Captainof the vessel has been requested to sign a certificate which will be handed to you by Inspector McDonald. From this certificate I am to request you to be Bo good as to enter the date of commencement and termination of leave in the leave certificate of each officer which are forwarded herewith. 3.
All these officers with the exception of Police Constable Farringtor but including Lance-Sergeant Thomson are entitled to fill pay from the 25th March until the date of disembarkation of the Czecho Slovak troops and I shall be glad if you will pay them accordingly.

Inspector HoDonald has been instructed to collect and hand over to you unifoms which this party has taken with them.

These are as follows:-
11 suits winter unifom
44 suits summer uniform 11 Topees
11 Caps.
With those previously referred to in paragraph 1 these are four other officers who are leaving the service, viz:-
Lance-Bergeant Thomson who has been invalided and will. be eligible for pension from the date on which this duty expires, will, as stated in paragraph 3. be entitled to fullpay, at the rate of £145 per annum,
with further special allowance of 20% in addition.
Lance Sergeants Williams and Kenneally, and Police Constable Kirby, who will not be eligible for any pay beyond that referred to in the next paragraph.

Special remuneration to these officers has been approved by the Shipping Company Hessrs Alfred Holt & Co. as follows:-
